Last development update maybe (possibly) (might not be)

The game is done. I finished creating it.

The game is already posted to Newgrounds and I have a desktop version ready to be released on Itch.io (or GameJolt if Itch.io doesn't work out).

What have I been up to?

MEDALS

Medals are working in the game. There is 3 more secret ones that aren't shown because they are well a secret.

COINS HAVE A PURPOSE

Coins were a thing in the SAGE 2024 demo but they didn't do anything. Now they have a bit of replay value and gives medals on Newgrounds.

BUG FIXING AND POLISHING

I've been fixing a bunch of bugs and I've been adding a lot of polishing to it. Now there is a simple fade to black screen transition effect for example. Some level designs and bosses have been improved a bit since the SAGE 2024 demo.

Why isn't the game out?

The game is done like I mentoined but it isn't out just yet. I have had the idea of animating a launch or release date trailer. The voice lines for it have been made months ago by @Nebulate and have just been sitting around until I start the animation. I'll start it this weekend.

RELEASE DATE

While I don't have a proper release date in mind I would love to get the game out before the end of the year. I won't promise any date but I am for this year.

Development paused

Yes this game's development was on a little break. It wasn't completely paused but I was working on it less. It's because I got the very smart idea to join a game jam and make Twigi's Twisted Costumes. But now I'm back on this at full force. I gotta get it done.

Our game made it to daily 2nd place! Even though it says my name it was also made by @Nebulate and @Creepeeforce24

Me, @Nebulate and @Creeperforce24 made a game for @Thetageist 's costume jam. We mostly kept it a secret during the less than 2 months that we worked on it. Though Neb and I leaked a couple assets so whoops.

It's a dress up game that has an ending, voicelines and a handful of dumb buttons. The game was designed and planned by me and Neb. I made the code and sound design while Neb did graphics and voice acting and Creeperforce made a couple original songs and then we borrowed a few from his library.

Fun experice to join a game jam. Also yes this has slowed down Blazer but there will be an update about that game later.

This is Lily (full name Lilyana Moody) and she is my mascot on the internet. She isn't a representation of me and she doesn't have much backstory.

A couple small facts:

• She is 21 years old (so she can drink everywhere).
• She likes cosplaying and has a lot of clothes because of that.
• She is Finnish because that is cool.
• She is 172cm tall
• She rarely smiles unless it's a smug smirk.

Welp I suddenly got an urge to have a Halloween PFP even though I'm not a big halloween fan. Last night I suddenly was not completely awful at painting so I made this. Don't think this is art portal worthy but it's news posts worthy I'd say.

No @Thetageist I'm not stealing your look. I too love the bright green and purple combo. Deal with it.

To be honest I don't really care for the holiday. It has never really been a thing in here so I naturally don't have much interest towards it.

Then again I'm technically working on something that kind of relates to Halloween but at the same time doesn't. So guess there is some interest after all.

Lily's first appearence was almost 40 years ago. Crazy.

SAGE 2024 is happening in 3 days. On September 6th to 13th. Is what I would say but it seems like it already started with the showcase video. I am there yippee.

The Painter Blazer SAGE demo is not out just yet so wait until the 6th and it should be publicly available. I'll make a post once it's out of course.

I probably should make a SAGE trailer real quick.
