I like that the background looks like the Rayman 1 box art background.

A general pixel art tip is to use the same pixel size. I see at least three different pixel sizes in this one which to me makes it look like everything isn't drawn in the same art style. I do like how you drew the character and curtains but the trees look very out of place.
